When investigating security providers, the first question to ask is whether or not they subcontract their monitoring duties to other central stations. Midwest Alarm owns and operates its own UL listed central monitoring station in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  According to the Central Station Alarm Association, there are over 13,000 alarm companies in the United States.  Approximately 2,700 operate their own central station. Of these fewer than 600 have earned the coveted UL listing.  Midwest Alarm is in this elite group. 

Every year Underwriters Laboratory performs an extensive engineering study and inspection to insure that alarm monitoring central stations are operating according to nationally accepted codes and standards.
